The main body of this sub structure is 40’ long x 9’ wide x 8’ tall when disassembled for transporting. Due to the size, the ramp is made completely detattachable. The Ramp is an additional 31’ long. The customer transported the ramp with the walkways on one flat bed and the main structure on another flat bed.
When fully assembled the structure is 71’ long x 14’ wide with walkways attached x 8’ tall. The walkways on this particular structure are 30" wide.
This platform was build to accommodate an IR RD20 range III.
The customer is an independent driller in Alabama. He told me up front that before taking delivery of the sub structure he would be sending a gentleman to go over the sub structure from top to bottom. He encouraged me not to be disappointed when we were given strikes because that’s what the man was to find, and he assured me he would find mistakes. This man had been in quality control for years and knew his business well.
After spending a long day, going over the structure from top to bottom, the inspector gave us an A+. We were very excited by the grade. The driller loved the structure and emailed me the picture you see on the cover to this link. He was very pleased and proud of the finished product. We were too.
