RT Welding & Fabrication, Inc. now offers a 16 man Rescue Alternative. This RA has obtained the 3 MSHA Part 7 Approvals that are now required for all under ground Rescue Alternatives. Those being
Harmful Gas Removal: This ‘Component’ must have the ability to prevent a lethal amount harmful gases such as Carbon Monoxide from being taken into the the living quarters of the RA. It also must have the ability to remove to a safe level the build up of Carbon Dioxide form the living quarters. Either of these two functions if not properly carried out could lead to death of the occupants.
Breathable Air: This ‘Component’ requires the RA to deliver breathable air (oxygen) for the potential, full capacity of miners for the duration of 96 hours. We have done this by using newly designed, state of the art high pressure oxygen valves, regulators, flow meters and all monel plumbing to create a system that is both simple and easy to operate.
Gas Monitoring: The final ‘Component’ Gas Monitoring requires equipment to monitor the air not only inside the RA but outside as well. Our monitors are housed in a storage compartment directly beside the main doorway to the RA. In this compartment we also have the different manuals the miner will need, one of which is our Quick Start Guide. This will allow the miner a quick refresher before and while he activates the RA. We believe this Rescue Alternative to be one of if not the easiest on the market for the fear ridden miner to put to use.
We believe this Rescue Alternative to be a Real Safe Haven. With a structural design that offers a safe place for escape from immediate dangers following a mine disaster. We believe that only under the shelter of a rigidly built steel shell can a person hope to be safe form the threat of secondary explosions or ruff and rib collapse. The design structure of this RA can save lives following disaster.
We hope you will consider our RTW - RA. We are eager and more than willing to meet with you for demonstration and hopefully answer any of your question.
