In the southeastern corner of Kentucky is found some of the highest quality coal in the world. Coal of this quality can be used for many things other than the production of electricity. In fall of 2014 we were asked to make an addition to a prep plant belonging to a company that mine a superior quality of coal. The addition would give that plant the ability to process this coal to bring top dollar on the market.
In the next several posts we will add pictures of this addition. The system worked well and abled
them to obtain very lucrative orders.
We started by first pouring the concrete for a hopper we would soon build.
Now you can see few pictures taken in the shop after the hopper was fabricated in our shop.
This is the four upper sides for the hopper.
This is the bottom part of the hopper. We made the bottom in two parts for transporting purposes.
These are the columns which will support the hopper and conveyor that will rest on the hopper.
